Business Development Manager - Spain

Drive partner acquisition and market expansion across the Spanish car rental market.

About the Role

We're expanding into Spain and looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to build our partner network. You'll be the face of Carman in Spain, identifying opportunities with car rental agencies, fleet operators, and dealerships across the country. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape our market entry strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and acquire new car rental partners across Spain (independent agencies, regional chains, fleet operators)
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial terms
  • Develop market entry strategies for key Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, etc.)
  • Meet and exceed quarterly partner acquisition and revenue targets
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers in the car rental industry
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, trends, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to refine our value proposition for Spain

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
  • Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding targets
  • Native or fluent Spanish speaker with professional English
  • Experience in travel, mobility, automotive, or marketplace industries
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel within Spain (30-40%)
  • Based in Madrid, Barcelona, or major Spanish city

Nice to Have

  • Existing network in the Spanish car rental industry
  • Experience with SaaS or marketplace B2B sales
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Start-up or scale-up experience
  • Understanding of the Spanish tourism and mobility market
