Business Development Manager - Portugal

About the Role

Portugal's tourism boom makes it a strategic market for Carman. We're seeking a Business Development Manager to build our partner network from the ground up, connecting with car rental agencies in Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve, and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Identify and acquire car rental partners across Portugal
• Build relationships with independent agencies and regional operators
• Negotiate partnership terms and manage the onboarding process
• Develop market strategies for key Portuguese regions (Lisbon, Porto, Algarve, Madeira)
• Achieve quarterly targets for new partners and revenue
• Maintain strong relationships with existing partners
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends
• Collaborate with marketing on Portugal-specific campaigns

What We're Looking For

• 3-5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
• Proven ability to close deals and exceed targets
• Native or fluent Portuguese speaker with professional English
• Experience in travel, tourism, mobility, or automotive industries
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated and results-oriented
• Willingness to travel within Portugal (30-40%)
• Based in Lisbon, Porto, or major Portuguese city

Nice to Have

• Network in the Portuguese car rental or tourism industry
• Experience with SaaS or marketplace sales
• Familiarity with CRM tools
• Startup or scale-up experience
• Knowledge of Portuguese tourism seasonality and trends
