Business Development Manager - Italy

About the Role

Italy represents a major opportunity for Carman with its strong tourism industry and fragmented car rental market. We're looking for a Business Development Manager to establish our presence, targeting independent agencies and regional chains from Milan to Sicily.

What You'll Do

• Acquire new car rental partners across Italy
• Build and manage a sales pipeline targeting Italian rental agencies
• Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial terms
• Develop regional strategies (Lombardy, Lazio, Tuscany, Sicily, Sardinia, etc.)
• Meet quarterly acquisition and revenue targets
• Build lasting relationships with Italian rental operators
• Provide market insights on the Italian car rental landscape
• Support partner onboarding and success

What We're Looking For

• 3-5+ years in B2B sales or business development
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets
• Native or fluent Italian speaker with professional English
• Experience in travel, mobility, or automotive sectors
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivation
• Willingness to travel within Italy (30-40%)
• Based in Milan, Rome, or major Italian city

Nice to Have

• Existing contacts in the Italian car rental industry
• Experience with platform or marketplace businesses
• CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot)
• Startup experience
• Understanding of Italian regional business cultures
