Business Development Manager - France

Expand our partner network and drive growth across the French car rental market.

About the Role

France is a key market for Carman, and we're looking for a driven Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth. You'll build relationships with independent car rental agencies, regional chains, and fleet operators across France, from Paris to the Côte d'Azur.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and acquire new car rental partners across France
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline targeting independent agencies and regional chains
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and onboard new partners
  • Develop market strategies for key French regions (ÃŽle-de-France, PACA, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, etc.)
  • Meet quarterly targets for partner sign-ups and transaction volume
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in the French car rental industry
  • Analyze market trends and provide competitive intelligence
  • Work with operations to ensure smooth partner onboarding

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Native or fluent French speaker with professional English
  • Experience in travel, mobility, automotive, or related industries
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel within France (30-40%)
  • Based in Paris, Lyon, or major French city

Nice to Have

  • Existing network in the French car rental or automotive industry
  • Experience with marketplace or platform business models
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Experience in startup or scale-up environments
  • Understanding of French tourism and business travel markets
